Olivia Flick was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. She attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated in 2011 with a BFA majoring in Video and Film Arts. She is a documentary filmmaker located in Baltimore, Maryland.
In high school she had the chance to work in the art department at Rescue Me as an intern, learning the ins and outs of production design and art direction on a television show. At MICA she got to work on several documentary films, discovering her inclination towards the genre and her true enjoyment of all aspects of the production. In 2010 she worked with several classmates on a documentary about sustainable food production, traveling to farms on the east coast to film. In her junior year she completed a short documentary about a local street performer and decided to continue making documentary films that take a closer look at people’s professions.
OLIVIA FLICK was the creator and director (and producer, editor, camera operator, sound recordist, etc) of 13 BOX.
